Smush It is a free image size optimizer created by Yahoo, is was built to remove unnecessary bytes from an image without effecting the image quality. This is a great tool to help with website speed optimization, by reducing an image size a page load faster. You can load images to Smush.it by pasting the image URL, or simply uploading images from your hard drive. Smush.it will optimize them and let you download a zip file with the shrinked images. This web tool is a must for any self respecting webmaster, web developer, and/or web designer.
GTmetrix Website Analyzer
GTmetrix is a great free online tool for webmaster, web developers, and web designers.
There are site speed and SEO optimization tools out there, but in my opinion this one is by far the best one. All you need to do is enter your website (or any web page) URL, and within seconds GTmetrix display a comprehensive analysis of your web page. The analysis is based on Yahoo's YSlow Grade, and Googl's Page Speed Grade, it will show information about the page size, speed, number of components, areas to improve, plus tips and tricks of how to improve. It will also order the potential performance and SEO improvements by the severity of the problem and how important it is to fix.
